EL&N Cafe and RTS began working together in 2018 with the Marketplace EL&N site.

 

EL&N contacted RTS regarding connectivity to this site and the relationship began from there. In the years since that initial contact RTS now support 11 EL&N sites across London and the UK with robust internet provision, internal networks and Guest WiFi.

EL&N founder Alexandra Miller has over ten years of experience in the world of luxury fashion. In 2017, driven by her passion for healthy living she wanted to open a fashion led food and drink destination with a focus on delicacies that were not only stunning but delicious too. Fast forward to today, after many more successful site openings across London, EL&N has become one of the most Instagrammable destinations in the world, with iconic flower walls, pink interiors and alternative lattes taking social media by storm.

The Challenge:

EL&N set out with a clear goal: to deliver standout connectivity that matched the visual wow-factor of their cafés. When guests walk into an EL&N space, they’re instantly reaching for their phones, capturing the interiors, the food, and the vibe to share online. With high-res smartphone cameras and video content becoming the norm, fast and reliable upload speeds weren’t just a bonus - they were essential.

 

Beyond providing seamless WiFi, EL&N also wanted a smart, unobtrusive way to gather guest data, helping to drive traffic to their online retail store and build a strong subscriber base for their marketing newsletters. It had to feel smooth and non-disruptive to users, while still delivering meaningful insights and value back to the business.

The Solution:

When EL&N needed a robust, high-performance internet solution across their sites, RTS stepped in with Direct Internet Access (DIA) connections - giving guests the super-fast upload and download speeds they expect. From snapping Instagram-worthy food pics to uploading video content, bandwidth is never an issue. It’s all part of delivering an experience that matches EL&N’s premium brand.

 

Behind the scenes, RTS provides a fully managed wireless network using Ruckus Access Points for strong, seamless coverage in every location. Our support team can monitor and troubleshoot everything remotely, and with our Service Desk open 8am to 11pm, seven days a week, we’re on hand whenever EL&N is open.

 

To enhance the guest WiFi experience even further, we partnered with Fydelia to manage user authentication. This allows EL&N to collect valuable data like footfall, demographics, and contact details - all of which are automatically fed into Mailchimp for targeted email marketing. Working closely with the EL&N team and Fydelia, we tailored the branding and user journey to maximise opt-ins - lifting marketing consent from just 20% to an impressive 67%.
